Jasper City Council offers city manager job to new candidate

The room was packed, as the meeting would consist of interviews for the city manager position. However, the night opened with a comment from Hamilton County Students Working Against Tobacco. Four students stood up to thank the council on the new park rules they were making that banned dangerous chemicals, including tobacco and cigarettes, from public parks. Next up, the board invited each city manager candidate to introduce themselves in an effort to allow those who would have to leave before the interviews a chance to know who was up for the job. Eac
