On Friday, Oct. 16, the Suwannee High School (SHS) Bulldogs shut out the War Eagles of Wakulla High School, 21-0.
The Bulldogs scored on an eight-yard touchdown run by Malachi Graham to carry a 7-0 lead into the second quarter. Jaquez Moore added another touchdown to his growing list of stats to extend the Bulldogs' lead. Braxtyn Green's successful point-after-touchdown gave the Bulldogs a 14-0 advantage heading into halftime. After a scoreless third period, Moore found pay-dirt once again from two yards out. Green's PAT sealed the Bulldogs' 21-0 victory.
Moore went 11 for 17 with 83 yards through the air. Moore added another 93 yards on 19 carries with two rushing touchdowns. Graham added 32 yards on 11 carries for the Bulldogs.
Brian Robinson was named the Offensive Player of the Game for the Bulldogs. Moore was named the Defensive Player of the Game.
Next, the Bulldogs (5-2) will host the Sharks of Ponte Vedre High School, from Ponte Vedre, Fla., on Friday, Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m. This will also be Homecoming for the Bulldogs. The Sharks (5-1) are coming into the game after a 23-7 win over the Rams of Englewood High School.
