Trojans’ volleyball season ends with heartfelt battle at districts

The Suwannee High School varsity volleyball team began last week by preparing for the Class 4A District 2 Championships, which were scheduled to start on Tuesday, Oct. 17. The Bulldogs (11-13) ended their regular season with two consecutive losses. They hoped the district tournament would bring them better luck. However, the Bulldogs learned the day before leaving to face the Wakulla War Eagles that they could be missing several key players due to illness. The loss of these players made the challenge of defeating the War Eagles, which had previously beaten the Bulldogs on their home court, even more daunting.
