Capital City Brass Quintet to dazzle with unforgettable night of music

The Capital City Brass Quintet is set to perform as part of the Friends of Music concert series on Friday, Oct. 27, at 7:30 p.m. The venue for the concert is the Covenant First Presbyterian Church, located at 421 White Ave., in Live Oak. The quintet is comprised of Madison Barton and Benjamin Dubbert on the trumpet, Cory Kirby on the French horn, Jonah Zimmerman on the trombone and Chris Bloom on the tuba.
The group will be performing a range of music written for a traditional brass quintet, as well as some popular pieces such as the "Toreador Song" from "Carmen," an arrangement of "Simple Gifts" and "How to Train Your Dragon" from the Dre
