On Saturday, Oct. 14, Lafayette County gathered together to kick off the fall season with the Chamber of Commerce's 43rd Annual Pioneer Day. The day started off at 8 a.m. with the first major event being the parade at 9 a.m. The parade featured floats from the Lafayette County Sheriff's Office, Lafayette County 4-H, Studio B and the fire department. There were also appearances from all the Miss Pioneer Day winners, Smokey the Bear, the Miss Lafayette High School winners, the Miss Lighthouse Christian Academy winners and even Congresswoman Kat Cammack.
