House fire results in total loss

Christian Peterson reporter.riverbendnews@gmail.com On Friday, Oct. 13, an electrical failure in the kitchen of a home on State Road 51 in Live Oak started a fire. Suwannee Fire Rescue responded as quickly as they could; however, once they arrived, they saw that the fire had spread significantly. It vented through the roof as more and more fire trucks were called out to the scene. In the end, 11 firetrucks were on the scene and were able to quell the flames. However, the home was counted as a total loss. No injuries were reported by the fire department and the fire was unintentionally started by an electrical failure.
