With the US general election just days away on Tuesday, Nov. 3, early voting will begin this week in Hamilton, Lafayette and Suwannee Counties. This year’s general election has been deemed the most important election in the history of the US, and voters are encouraged to get out and let their voice be heard in the polls.
Hamilton County
Early voting for Hamilton County will be held from Saturday, Oct. 24, until Saturday, Oct. 31. Hamilton County residents can vote between the hours of 9 a.m., until 6 p.m., at the Supervisor of Elections Office, located at 1153 US Highway 41 Northwest, Suite 1 in Jasper.
Suwannee County
Early voting for Suwannee County will take place between Saturday, Oct. 24, until Sunday, Nov. 1, from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Voters may cast their ballots at three different locations: the Judicial Annex, located at 218 Parshley Street in Live Oak; the Robert Leonard Public Library, located at 703 Northwest Suwannee Avenue in Branford; and the Jo Kennon Public Library, located at 10655 Dowling Park Drive in Dowling Park.
Lafayette County
Those wishing to participate in early voting in Lafayette County may do so between Saturday, Oct. 24, until Saturday Oct. 31, from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. To vote in person, Lafayette County residents may go to the elections office located at 120 West Main Street, Room 129 in Mayo.
Vote-By-Mail
The last day to request a vote-by-mail ballot for all three counties is Saturday, Oct. 24, and the deadline to return vote-by-mail ballots is Tuesday, Nov. 3, before 7 p.m.
