Mayo town council sends historical beams to Day

On Monday, Oct. 9, the Mayo Town Council met for its regularly scheduled meeting. First, the council gave permission, for the grant administrator and Sampson Edwards, to pursue the USDA Community Facilities Grant in an effort to get a truck and mini-excavator. They then chose to amend the transient business license law they had in place, specifically the fee schedule, and to remove previous language. The name transfer price was changed to $10 and the new owner license transfer was set at $100.
The council then chose to table the approval of an inter-local agreement with the Lafayette County Board of County Commissioners for medical emer
