The Live Oak City Council's monthly meeting opened up on Tuesday, Oct. 10, with Mayor Frank Davis expressing his admiration and appreciation for Greg Scott, county administrator and former parks and recreation director, who had recently received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Florida Recreation and Parks Association. Scott had served as the parks and recreation director for 34 years and has also been recognized for his selfless service by receiving the Above Self Award from the Live Oak Rotary Club.
