Hamilton commissioners proclaim National 4-H Week

Christian Peterson reporter.riverbendnews@gmail.com The Hamilton County Board of County Commissioners’ regular meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 3, focused on celebrating National 4-H Week. The meeting opened with a presentation from UF/IFAS Hamilton Extension’s Beth Kerr, who brought forth a proclamation to declare the week of Sunday, Oct. 1, as National 4-H Week. However, before the commissioners signed the proclamation, Kerr invited a few students up to the podium to speak on the program’s positive influences. The first to speak was Isabelle Terry, who told the commissioners how 4-H has helped her grow. It helped her develop new friendships, as well as grow as a leader. She went on to st
