Town Talk: Pioneer Day happening Saturday

Christian Peterson reporter.riverbendnews@gmail.com The Lafayette County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its 43rd annual Pioneer Day on Saturday, Oct. 14. The day kicks off at 8 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park in Mayo with booths selling food, crafts and all kinds of different merchandise. The event is loved by the entire community and is a highlight of the year. Make sure to grab a good seat near Main Street at 10 a.m., because the parade will be heading down the street at that time. Then, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., there will be live music performed by the Lafayette High School marching band, the Band of Brothers, Sadie Miller, CR 400, Southern Exposure and Jessica Herutematte.
