Hornets fly over Bulldogs at the net

Lee Trawick reporter2@riverbendnews.org The Lafayette High School volleyball team traveled to Suwannee High School on Wednesday, Sept. 27, to take on the Bulldogs (8-8). The Hornets (9-3) entered the contest riding a four-game winning streak, while the Suwannee girls were looking to bounce back after dropping three straight sets to the Baker County Wildcats. The Bulldogs looked poised to redeem their earlier season loss to Lafayette, as they jumped out to a 7-2 lead at the start of the match. However, the Hornets have been battle-tested and stayed the course to withstand the early assault. Emma Revels began their retaliation by soaring over the net and overpowering the Bulldogs. Brooke L
