Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor, This letter is written in hopes of informing you and your readers about the acts of generosity carried out by two youth in your community. My name is Jimmy Blankenship, and a few days after Hurricane Idalia, my home burned down due to a faulty generator. As my wife and I tried to rebuild our lives, two very special young ladies from Mayo took it upon themselves to help. Bristol Land and Anniston Bonafide, both fifth graders at Lafayette Elementary School, have a business selling necklaces, bracelets, etc. These young ladies decided that for a few days, any merchandise they sold or donations collected would be given to my wife and I to help us recover from our disaster.
