The people of Live Oak have a lot to look forward to this October on South Ohio Avenue, where Melody Church has again graciously given families the opportunity to go enjoy some quality Halloween fun. Is there anything better to celebrate than a Florida summer changing into what’s bound to be another beautiful autumn season, with a cheerful pumpkin patch to visit with loved ones?
The whole month of October will have Friday nights full of live music to enjoy as pumpkins are picked, as well as numerous sweet treats to purchase, and a merry fire pit, ensuring a cozy time for all from 7 to 9 p.m. On Saturday, Oct.10, they had a Ladies Night, where women were invited to come sip on pumpkin spice lattes together and enjoy festive desserts as they painted adorable pumpkin door hangers.
A Family Fun Night at the church’s pumpkin patch will feature live music and, of course, some games and candy for the kids on Friday, Oct. 30, from 7 to 9 p.m. On Saturday, Oct. 31, Halloween evening, be sure to head out for the Trick or Treat event they've organized which also takes place from 7 to 9 p.m. Votes for the most popular scarecrow that have been made up by an assortment of local community organizations, churches and businesses in the area will be taken that night. Results of the contest will be tallied and announced the following day on Sunday, Nov. 1. The pumpkin patch is open to the public Monday through Friday, from 12 p.m. until 9 p.m., where there are multiple opportunities for fun family photographs to be taken.
