Hamilton County Superintendent Lee Wetherington-Zamora, alongside district and school-based staff, held FAST (Florida Assessment of Student Thinking) Incentive Celebrations on Friday, Aug. 18, for students in the district. The incentive programs recognized students for their hard work and perseverance on state assessments from the previous school year.
Students receiving proficiency on state exams, learning gains or industry certifications were eligible for cash and prize drawings. Those who had earned a Level 5 on last year’s FAST test were recognized by receiving a specially made yard sign from Custom Illusionz. Everyone walked away a winner, because each student who attended the assembly was given a wristband, which read: “HAMCO 100%.”
During each celebration, Superintendent Zamora encouraged students to attend school regularly, continue their hard work and to be on their best behavior. She also thanked the staff for their commitment and dedication as the district continues its pursuit of 100-percent learning gains on the upcoming state assessments.
We are so proud of these students for their hard work! If you would like to learn more about Hamilton County’s FAST Incentive Celebration, or if you would like to contribute to next year’s event, please call (386) 792-7814.
