On Sunday, Sept. 3, Cpl. Justin Stout with the Suwannee County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) was dispatched to to 164th Street in McAlpin in reference to two people who felt threatened by 85-year-old McAlpin resident, Raymond Grant Bond. According to the SCSO report, Bond initiated an argument with the two individuals. “The victims were not trying to have a conflict with the defendant and were respectful to the defendant,” the report states.
During the altercation, Bond pulled out a .357 Magnum hand gun and pointed it at the pair.
Bond would later deny having a gun during the argument; however, the victims recorded the entire encounter on their phones. The video was reviewed by SCSO and Bond is clearly seen pulling a silver .357 Magnum from a leather holster and pointing it at them.
Bond was taken to the Suwannee County Jail and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.
