The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and Auxiliary (DAVA), a non profit charity dedicated to the loving support of Veterans and their families, have officially set a date for their Third Annual Chili Cook-off and Car and Bike show, “Let Freedom Ride.” On Saturday, Sept. 9, Let Freedom Ride will be hosted at Billy Bons, located at 10922 US 41, in White Springs.
There is a registration fee of $20 for attendees interested in entering the show with a car or motorcycle, or for those interested in entering the chili cook-off, as well as a $5 charge per person to vote for People’s Choice.
The show will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 11 a.m. Judging will proceed from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. First place will win $100 and second place will win $50. There will be a silent auction at 2 p.m. and an awards ceremony at 3 p.m. Prizes will include car accessories, local services and more. Live entertainment will also be featured throughout the day.
