This month on Saturday, Aug. 19, AMERICAN PATRIOTS welcomes Jimmy Norris. As Director of Suwannee County Economic Development, he has made significant strides in bringing the county into the limelight for tourism and new business. Norris was born and raised in this area, graduated from Hamilton County High School and is married with three grown children. He has always served the community through service organizations such as Rotary Club, the Chamber of Commerce and many others.
Norris was awarded “Rural Deal of the Year” by the Florida Economic and Development Council for bringing together a myriad of entities and individuals in the reopening of the Binderholz sawmill. This is but one of many endeavors where Norris serves Suwannee County. Most recently, he and his office have been working out the details to allot $23 million given to Suwannee County by the State of Florida. This and quite a few other grants will be used to update public works projects, making the county even more attractive for new business and tourism.
AMERICAN PATRIOTS of Live Oak is a grassroots group of people who love America and are deeply concerned about movements toward non-adherence to the Constitution. For over two years now, the group has shown a strong presence in the governance of Suwannee County, especially police protection, schools and local government. They work to ensure a continuing, prosperous and healthy America and local community for area youth. Those who have joined have come from feeling, “There's nothing I can do,” to actually taking part in positive change.
Join them at RIVEROAK Technical College on Saturday, Aug. 19, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., where ALL Americans are welcome to join in the discussion with Jimmy Norris and other PATRIOTS. Follow the AMERICAN PATRIOTS signs to the meeting room at 415 Pinewood Dr., in Live Oak.
