On Saturday, July 29, Aujaree Alopa Esther Rogers was arrested on multiple charges for lewd behavior. Hamilton County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) was called to Hamilton County Correctional Institution (HCI) in reference to sexual activity being observed between an inmate and visitor.
Once HCSO arrived at HCI, staff informed them they had received a tip that a visitor was going to attempt to smuggle drugs into the prison. The staff proceeded to observe the cameras of the area looking for anyone attempting to smuggle drugs. Instead, they noticed possible sexual activity in the visitation area. HCSO questioned the inmate involved, who admitted that his girlfriend had performed a sexual act on him. During the incident, there were multiple families with children visiting their family members present.
Rogers was arrested on three charges. One charge of sex offense – unnatural and lascivious act, two counts of lewd and lascivious behavior; one charge for an exhibition offense by someone 18 years or older on a victim less than 16 years of age. The second count was for committing a sexual act in the presence of a correctional facility employee. Rogers was arrested and taken to the Hamilton County Jail.
