Representative Jason Shoaf and Senator Corey Simon have both been looking for a place to set up their official offices in the Central North Florida area. They have been searching all over the area when an offer was made to them by the Suwannee County Chamber of Commerce. The group had room in the top of their headquarters where both Senator Simon and Representative Shoaf could set up their offices. The two immediately took the Chamber up on the offer and worked with their aides to begin settling in.
On Thursday, June 14, at 3:30 p.m., Representative Shoaf and Senator Simon arrived at the Chamber for the official ribbon cutting. Elected officials from Suwannee, Hamilton and Lafayette Counties were present, along with law enforcement, educators and Chamber members. After an update from both officials, the group stepped onto the stage to cut the ribbon, signifying the official opening of the new office.
The new offices are located at 212 Ohio Ave. N, in Live Oak. Representative Shoaf can be contacted at (850) 295-5680 and Senator Simon can be reached at (850) 487-5003.
