Trayson Rogers is a senior at Hamilton County High School, and was a member of the Trojans' baseball team. He made his varsity debut in 2019 as an eighth-grader. However, in his sophomore season, Rogers became a household name around Trojan Nation. He entered his senior season with the possibility of reaching more than 100 career strikeouts.
Rogers is the son of the late Gordon Rogers and Gretchen Laseter- Rogers. He has been a staple in the Trojans' lineup and pitching rotation throughout his career. He was one of only four players on the teams roster this season and was also a member of the storied 2021 Class 1A State Championship series Final Four team. While Rogers climbed the junior varsity ranks, and now varsity as a pitcher, he did not establish himself as an elite pitcher until his sophomore season at home against the undefeated Union County Tigers, who were the number-one ranked team in Class 1A at the time according to Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA). Rogers got the start due to a rescheduling of games that put the Trojans in a position of a double- header at home. He would start the second game after losing the first one. There, he gave up one run in the first inning and two more runs in the second inning. However, the Tigers had scored three runs, none of which were earned. Therefore, Rogers continued to battle, and would not allow another run to cross the plate.
