Begin summer with a burst of flavor on Saturday, June 3, with the 29th Annual Wellborn Blueberry Festival. This yearly fundraiser for the Wellborn Community Association will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Andrews Square, located in downtown Wellborn at 1340 8th Ave.
The event will feature over 100 food and arts and crafts vendors, as well as live music, a parade, an antique and classic car show, children's games and other fun activities for the whole family to enjoy. Delicious blueberry treats will also be available at the Country Store, including blueberry pies, cobblers, jams, jellies, ice cream and so much more.
Make sure to arrive early enough to enjoy the festival's famous $5 blueberry pancake breakfast, which will only be available from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Breakfast plates can be purchased at the Wellborn Community Association Center, Wellborn Baptist Church and behind the fire station near the Country Store.
Admission to the festival is free. Parking will be available along the railroad tracks, at the Wellborn Masonic Lodge or at the Wellborn Baptist Church with a free shuttle to the event.
