The Suwannee High School varsity flag football team played host to the Jefferson County Tigers (0-5) on Tuesday, March 7. The Bulldogs (2-1) were coming off a 28-7 win over the Baker County Wildcats, while the Tigers were still looking for their first win of the season. The Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead behind senior quarterback Maci Campbell, who completed eight of 12 passes for 122 yards, including three touchdowns, while rushing for another touchdown. At the end of the first quarter, the Bulldogs led, 16-0, and went on to double the score, 32-0, by halftime. In the second half, the Bulldogs set the tone and played great defense behind junior Ty'Shwana Smithbey, who had six tackles. The Bulldogs went on to close out the Tigers, 32-6, to improve their record to 3-1.
