After a year-long investigation led by Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) Investigator Kim Lane, Jimmy Torres, 58 years old, of Live Oak, was arrested on Friday, March 10 after allegedly committing acts of lewd and lascivious behavior on two children, according to the SCSO report.
In late March of 2022, victim one, reported childhood sexual abuse to the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office. The victim, who is now an adult, told investigators that between the ages of eight and 12-years-old, she was a victim of sexual abuse from Torres. Victim one told her mother about the abuse, a SCSO report states, however it was never reported to law enforcement or any other authority figure.
Torres reportedly paid victim one to remove her clothing in front of him, he also exposed her to pornagraphic materials and coerced her to drink alcoholic beverages, which she did not want to partake in.
Additionally, the report states that Torres sexually abused another child from the age seven until her current age of 14.
Torres was booked into the Suwannee County jail on Friday, March 10. There, he was charged with sexual assault on a minor, lewd lascivious behavior towards a minor and contributing to minor delinquency.
