Suwannee County Sheriff Sam St. John attended the 2023 Winter Sheriff's Conference in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. from Sunday, Jan. 22, to Wednesday, Jan. 25. The Sheriff’s Conference takes place twice a year to network and further build partnerships with other Florida Sheriff's and law enforcement agencies. “It is important that law enforcement agencies embrace public safety as a priority and reach out to each other in a time of need,” Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office stated in a release. This was the 130th anniversary of the Florida Sheriffs Association, which supports 67 sheriffs as well as business leaders and residents within the state. This year's Winter Conference included education and vendor exhibits featuring the latest products and services to support law enforcement.
