In October 2022, Shaquila Dakwan Walters Robinson, 45, of Arkansas was sentenced to five years in prison for criminal mischief and battery in Drew County. On Jan. 24, 2022, Robinson transferred to Hamilton County from Arkansas and is now facing charges. Robinson was booked into the Hamilton County Jail on Tuesday evening, Jan. 24, for negligent homicide-manslaughter stemming from the 2018 death of her husband, 46-year-old Andre K. Robinson, of White Springs.
According to a report from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Robinson called 911 at 3:25 a.m. reporting her husband had attempted suicide; Andre cut himself near the groin with a knife.
Hamilton County Emergency Services pronounced Andre dead at 4 a.m. He was found in a small apartment behind the residence on Spring Street with a stab wound to his left thigh.
Robinson told investigators from HCSO and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement during an interview later that day that she and her husband were fighting over the knife when he stabbed himself. The report states she insisted the injury was self-inflicted.
