The Strawberry Festival has become a highlight in Suwannee County over the past few years. This year on Saturday, Feb. 25 and Sunday, Feb. 26 it will begin its third year of entertaining the citizens of Suwannee County and the surrounding area.
The Strawberry Festival will be held at the Suwannee County Fairgrounds, which is located at 1302 11th St. Sw in Live Oak. It boasts fun and festivities for the whole family. There will be delicious food, Plant City strawberries, strawberry shortcake and strawberry fudge as well as strawberry jams, jellies and salsa. Additionally, there will be free bounce houses, a petting farm, sack races, an inside toddler play area, a hula hoop contest, rock painting, a strawberry relay race and corn hole. It doesn’t end there. There will be arts and crafts, live entertainment, pony rides, a classic car show, games, a pie eating contest, photo op, face painting and the annual Berry Cute Baby Contest. With all those options it is sure to be a good time, however, there will be even more things to do the day of. Mark your calendars, save the date and enjoy the third annual Strawberry Festival.
