Wesley Rizer, a Mayo resident, was recently diagnosed with neuroblastoma cancer in his spinal cord. Neuroblastoma is a type of cancer that forms from immature nerve cells. It usually begins in the adrenal glands, but may also begin in the abdomen, chest or in nerve tissue near the spine. Neuroblastoma most often occurs in children younger than five years of age. It is thought to begin before birth.
Rizer has several chemotherapy appointments coming up, as well as surgery. The Rizer family would appreciate any donations to aid them in getting him back and forth to appointments. If you would like to donate, please search “Wesley fight this neuroblastoma cancer” on GoFundMe.
