The annual legislative delegation hearings for Suwannee, Hamilton and Lafayette Counties have been scheduled for Friday, Jan. 13. These hearings will include State Representative Jason Shoaf, Chair of the Legislative Delegation for Suwannee, Hamilton and Lafayette Counties and Senator Cory Simon. During these hearings, both Representative Shoaf and Senator Simon will be available to receive proposals from government officials, residents and other interested parties.
Lafayette County's hearing will be held at the Lafayette County Courthouse, located at 120 W Main St., in Mayo, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Suwannee County's hearing will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Judicial Annex, located at 210 Parshley St., in Live Oak.
Hamilton County's hearing will be held at the Hamilton County Courthouse, located at 207 1st St. NW, in Jasper, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The legislative delegation holds a public hearing each year to afford local officials, members of the public, and other interested parties the opportunity to present legislative proposals or express opinions on state issues. The Regular Session of the Florida Legislature will convene on Tuesday, March 7, in Tallahassee.
