Branford's rising country music star, Sadie Miller, has added another performance to her expanding resume. Just as with any other trade, every singer must put in the work, the miles and the grind in order to establish themselves. Miller not only understands this part of the business, but embraces it. Because of this, although she is just a freshman at Branford High School, she is already well established in her young career.
Miller has already had the privilege and honor to perform at venues such as the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville Tenn., the Lyric Theater and Culture Arts Center in Lexington, Ky. And even the Orange Blossom Opry in Weirsdale, Fla. She has also had the opportunity to sing at the National FFA Convention, the Spirit of the Suwannee, the Lake City Fairgrounds and hundreds of events throughout the Southeastern United States.
Despite the thousands of miles Miller has traveled, and the different venues she has performed in, it is the people she has met along the way and the time she gets to spend with her family on the road that she cherishes the most. On Thursday, Dec. 1, Miller once again found herself on the lineup at the Orange Blossom Opry amongst 11 other performers. As she continues the grind it takes to elevate her career, she hopes to one day join the names of Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Maranda Lambert.
