While local dental offices may be overwhelmed with appointments since reopening after the coronavirus shutdown, the First Baptist Church (FBC) of Live Oak is offering free dental care to local residents who are in need of extractions and fillings. The mobile dental unit will be onsite at FBC on Monday-Friday, Oct. 5-9.
The mobile dental unit is an outreach and partnership ministry of the Florida Baptist Convention and the North Florida Baptist Network. According to the convention, the mission of the Baptist Mobile Dental Ministry is to help provide caring dental service and a Christian witness to Florida’s needy.
Prior to making an appointment, an e-screening is required. Due to COVID-19, all patients are required to wear a mask and have their temperature taken before being seen. For e-screening and to schedule an appointment, please call (386) 219-8187. The First Baptist Church is located at 401 West Howard Street in Live Oak.
