As the Christmas season begins, so do many traditions throughout the world. This is certainly the case for Lisa's Lights in McAlpin, which has been shining bright bright since 2011. The Christmas display is put up every year at the home of Lisa and Robert King. An array of lights and character cutouts span the length of the Kings' driveway and speckle their property. Visitors are invited to park their cars, sit and enjoy the lights, or even get out and walk amongst the displays. Those who choose to sit in their cars can even turn their radios to FM 90.9 to listen to Christmas tunes.
This dazzling display is completely free to view and provides the perfect family atmosphere for the Christmas season. The lights are on every night, except for when it rains. They can be viewed from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays, and from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. For more information, call (386) 590-4839. Lisa's Lights can be viewed at 11567 156th St., in McAlpin.
