Florida Highway Patrol troopers reported a deadly crash in Suwannee County. On Thursday, Dec. 1, at 6 p.m. The accident occurred on State Road 51 and County Road 250 near Live Oak. Troopers say the crash involved a vehicle with several occupants and a motorcycle.
The motorcycle, whose driver was not wearing a helmet, was headed north on State Road 51 when a sport utility vehicle traveling south with two adults and two children from Live Oak made a left turn in front of it, resulting in a collision. The sport utility vehicle driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was identified as a 30-year-old Live Oak resident, and two children were transported to the Suwannee County emergency room. The motorcyclist, Michael Hall, a 34-year-old male from Live Oak, died at the scene. This investigation is still ongoing.
Hall was a maintenance manager for four years at the Liberty Tire Mulching Plant in Live Oak and was of the Christian faith. Though he was a Melbourne native, he moved to Live Oak in 1995 from Fort Pierce. He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Thena Hendershot Hall, of Live Oak; sons, Jason and Clay Hall, of Live Oak; father, Michael Ray Hall, Sr., of Live Oak; sister, Michelle (Kevin) Hazellief, of Tampa and nephew, Wyatt Hazellief, of Athens, Ala.
