Henry Asa Barker, 85, passed away on November 28, 2022, in Perry, Fla. Henry was born June 27, 1937, in Madison, Fla., to Eustice Barker and Annie Belle Campbell Barker.
Henry lived a simple life. He enjoyed Florida State football games, John Wayne movies and all bluegrass music. He was a Christian and a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist church. He is a 1955 graduate of Hillsborough High School in Tampa, Fla.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Eustice and Annie Belle Campbell Barker, and two nephews, Clarence Byers, Jr. and Louie Edward Ivester, Jr.
He is survived by a daughter Lisa Evans (Chad); three granddaughters, Sierra, Mariah, and Hannah; two great-grandchildren, Aleric and Adalia; four sisters, Carolyn Shives (David), Peggy Johnson, Gloria Mahaffey, and Grace Warner, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at 12 p.m. at Campbell-Harmony with Bro. Lamar Aman officiating. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
