The Branford Rotary Club, in collaboration with Branford High School (BHS), will host its first annual Community Festival on Saturday, Nov. 12. The event will feature various food, trinket, craft and clothing vendors, giving attendees the perfect opportunity to find unique Christmas gifts for their loved ones. The highlight of the festival will be the chili cook-off. A winner will be chosen for the following categories: Best Overall, Best Spicy Flavor and Most Unique. Monetary awards will be given to each category’s winner. Registration for the cook-off costs $20 and will take place from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on the day of the festival. For any vendors who would like to set up at the event, there is a registration fee of $20.
The festival will take place at the Branford Greenway, located just off Main Street. Festivities will begin at 10 a.m. There is a $5 entry fee. For vendor info, call (321) 278- 6514. Proceeds will benefit BHS student scholarships, the RYLA leadership sponsorship, teacher appreciation, literacy projects and more.
