On Saturday, Oct. 22, Branford residents lined Main Street for the annual Suwannee River Riding Club (SRRC) Rodeo Parade. At 3 p.m., the shrill alarm of police sirens signaled the start of the parade. Eventually, musical notes from the Branford High School marching band began filling the air as the floats proceeded downtown. Kids and adults alike enjoyed tossing candy out to the eager youth on the sidewalks. Businesses, as well as county law enforcement and local emergency response vehicles, paraded down the street in their decked-out floats. The parade ended in true rodeo fashion with a caravan of horses, led by SRRC Tiny Miss Reece Walker and SRRC Queen Emily Byrd. This parade ran in conjunction with the SRRC Annual Rodeo, which took place on Friday night, Oct. 21 and Saturday night, Oct. 22.
