On Saturday, Oct. 8, the Pregnancy Care Center hosted its annual 5k Run/Walk 4 Life. This event allowed people of all ages to actively demonstrate their support for the value of human life and their desire to make a difference.
The event featured the Toddler Trot for kids ages four and under, as well as a Kids’ Fun Run for children ages five to eight-years-old. Walkers and runners of all ages and abilities enjoyed the 3.1-mile walk/run in Live Oak and Lake City locations. There were timed options for runners; while serious and leisurely walkers were welcome to walk at their own pace.
The community’s participation in the event benefits local women and families by offering free pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, peer counseling and educational/material services.
