Beka McCray is a known name throughout Suwannee County, as she owned a dance studio in Live Oak, where she taught dance for six years. She also attended Santa Fe College as a dance major. However, her life changed when she had her daughters, Nora and Elsa. Once they arrived, she took a break from dance. This year, however, she is stepping right back into the role of dance teacher. At Suwannee Riverside Elementary, she will be a paraprofessional in the Physical Education department. This will allow her the opportunity to create a dance and musical theatre program at Riverside. “I am so honored to have this opportunity and cannot wait to be back doing what I love and sharing my passion with Riverside,” McCray said in a Facebook post.
Cara Peppers is the newest second grade teacher at Suwannee Riverside Elementary. She is 31-years-old and has been married to her husband for eight years. Together, they have a son named McCoy, who will be attending Riverside with his mom, going into the first grade. Outside of school, the trio loves to hunt, fish and spend time on the water with family and friends. “I am so excited to start this new journey with my new Suwannee Riverside family and hope to make wonderful memories with my kids,” Peppers said in a Facebook post.
