RIVEROAK Technical College loves to show off their amazing student body. They take time throughout the year to spotlight a student each week, giving them the opportunity to speak about their chosen program and experience at RIVEROAK. The week of Monday, Sept. 5, the chosen student was Jaime Cruz. He is currently enrolled in the Automotive Collision Technology Technician program, which allows students to learn “challenging academic standards and relevant technical knowledge and skills needed to pursue further education and careers in the transportation, distribution and logistics career cluster.” Cruz’s nomination came from his instructor, Jo Ragan, who said, “Jaime is a returning student who has retained skills he learned last year. He has become very skilled and will not have a problem finding a job.” When Cruz was asked about why he came to RIVEROAK and chose the Automotive Collision Technology Technician Program, he said, “I wanted an education in a job field that is hands on.” Once he has completed the program, Cruz plans to continue his education with RIVEROAK or find work with an auto body shop.
