Climb into the saddle and get ready for a wild ride, the 66th Annual Suwannee River Riding Club (SRRC) Rodeo is right around the corner! At 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 1, contestants will have the opportunity to participate in eight categories, including Cowgirls Breakaway, Calf Roping, Barrel Racing, Steer Wrestling, Open Team Roping, #11 Team Roping, Ranch Bronc Riding and Bull Riding.
The Cowgirls Breakaway category will require a $50 entry fee per night, as well as a $50 entry fee for the average of both nights. The winner of the average will receive a buckle, $1,000 and a 90-percent payback of their average entry fee.
There will also be a $50 entry fee per night, as well as a $50 entry fee for the two-night average in the Calf Roping, Barrel Racing and Steer Wrestling categories. The winner of the average in each category will receive $500, as well as a 90-percent payback of the average entry fee.
For the Open Team Roping category, contestants may enter twice in any combination. This event will require a $50 entry fee per participant for each night, as well as a $50 entry fee for the average of both nights. The winning team of the average will receive $500, as well as a 90-percent payback of their average entry fee.
The #11 Team Roping category will also require a $50 entry fee per contestant for each night, as well as a $50 entry fee for the average of both nights. The winning team of the average will receive $250, as well as a 90-percent payback of their average entry fee.
Contestants can also participate in the Ranch Bronc Riding event for $70 each night for a chance to win $500, and the Bull Riding event for $100 each night for a chance to win $1,000. The books will open on Monday, Sept. 19 at 9 a.m., and will close on Monday, Sept. 26 at 5 p.m. However, late entries will be accepted with an additional fee of $10.
