The Lafayette County Supervisor of Elections office has a new ballot drop-off box located outside the county courthouse to accommodate voters who will be voting by mail in the upcoming election. According to Supervisor of Elections Travis Hart, this new installation will make voting more efficient and secure.
“This ballot drop box is something I’ve been wanting to implement for some time. With the federal funds we’ve received through the CARES Act we have finally been able to make it a reality,” Hart said. “This will make it more convenient for voters to drop off their ballot at their convenience and ensure with 100 percent certainty their ballot is counted on time. Making elections more efficient and secure for voters is our top priority and this addition is one more step in that direction.”
The Supervisor of Elections office is located at 120 West Main Street in Mayo.
