The Flanigin family is from Orlando, Fla., however, they found themselves in Live Oak while they were traveling back from Niceville after saying goodbye to Debra Flanigin’s aunt, who is struggling with leukemia. Though Debra’s daughter, Brook, is not typically allowed to take her white plush cat, Snowball, with her in her travels because it is very important to her and there is always a chance it may get lost, Debra allowed Brook to take Snowball with her because it was a long trip with hard goodbyes. The family stopped to eat at Moe’s Southwest Grill, located at 10549 Suwannee Plaza Ln., in Live Oak, around 8 p.m., and Debra did not see Brook bring her cat in with her–just her game and another doll. It wasn't until they were over an hour outside of Live Oak before Brook said she left Snowball at the restaurant. Debra tried to call Moe’s Sunday, July 31, but the employees had already left for the night. She called them again the following morning and they could not find Brook’s beloved Snowball. There were other families at the restaurant the afternoon Snowball was lost and Debra fears the cat may have been picked up by one of the other children at the restaurant. Brook is very upset with Snowball’s disappearance. If you have any information on Snowball’s whereabouts, please call Debra at (518) 577-2067 to help reunite the two.
