Trenton Anderson is a well-known man throughout Suwannee County, but he is even better known by his musical persona, Live Oak 386. Born on May 13, 1987, Live Oak 386 grew up in and around Suwannee County. He is married and has two daughters and one son. Live Oak 386 has always been a rapper, but had never heard of Christian rap. One night, he sat down to watch the film, “I’m in Love with a Church Girl.” It was the first moment he was introduced to the concept of Gospel rap. He thought to himself, “wow, I can do that” and began to work on his own music.
He started with his first track, called, “Right on Time,” which discussed his life, financial troubles he had, and the gifts God gave him during the time. The reactions he received encouraged him to do even more and, for six years, he worked. One of the unique challenges he faced was working with his producer, Terry “T. Rich” Rich. It took them years to get used to each other’s style and how they worked but, eventually, it all came together and their songs took on the sound they have now.
Originally, Live Oak 386 was only on YouTube and Facebook. However, in 2022, he was given the opportunity to put his music on 40 different streaming services, including Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music and many others. Live Oak 386 was granted another opportunity when he was contacted by Cynthia Robinson, who works with local radio station WMOF 98.7. She invited him to perform a new song, so he got to work with T. Rich. Together, they created the newest single, “Grateful.” Live Oak 386 remains grateful to T. Rich, Cynthia Robinson and Love Ministries, which was the first place he was invited to perform.
Live Oak 386 plans to continue working hard on the current music he has by trimming, refurbishing and fixing up his songs to create a full album. Eventually, he would like to release his music worldwide. “I am God’s soldier; I am a rapper and I’m going to do it my way, clean and with good vibes,” Live Oak 386 said. He will be performing five original songs on Saturday, Aug. 20, at Millenium Park for Gospel in the Park. Live Oak 386’s goal is to make music and follow God.
