Lafayette Adult Education held graduation in the Lafayette High School Library on Monday, June 27, at 6:30 p.m. Jodi Tillman, Director of Big Bend Technical College, was the guest speaker for the evening and delivered an inspirational message. Career and Technical Education Director Paula Ginn presented graduates with their diplomas, and graduates enjoyed a reception with their friends and family following the ceremony.
Adult Education offers resources and instruction for students seeking their general education degree (GED). Earning a GED can increase employability, improve earning potential and create college and career opportunities. The Lafayette Adult Education operates on Monday and Tuesday evenings from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuition is $30 per semester. Registration for the fall semester begins on Thursday, Aug. 15.
