Do you have questions for the people you're voting for? Come to the first ever “Beyond the Polls” Political Forum hosted by Riverbend News to get all your answers! Meet the politicians around the bend and hear their take on all the hot-button local issues. The Forum will open up with a meet and greet from 4:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., where you will be able to meet the candidates face-to-face and ask them questions before the main event.
The Forum will officially begin at 6 p.m., with each candidate introducing themselves. Have your questions answered during the timed audience Q&A session at 8 p.m. Questions must be submitted before 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, for a chance to be asked. Note that not all audience questions will be asked. All questions will be presented by the moderator. To submit your questions ahead of time, visit our Political Forum questionnaire at https://forms.gle/A76Re7DWr6UyGZx86 or by scanning the QR code accompanying this article.
So far, the politicians confirmed to be attending the Forum include Suwannee County Judge candidates Jennifer Kuyrkendall Griffin, Arminda W. “Mindy” Janousek and Ryan J. Peters; Suwannee County Commission candidates Stefan Blue (District 2) and Leo Mobley (District 4); as well as Corey Simon (Florida State Senate, District 3). In addition, there will be a video presentation from Kat Cammack (Florida Congress, District 3) and an introduction from Hamilton County Commission candidate Scott Gay (District 4). Any other candidates interested in participating should call (386) 364-4141.
Let your voice be heard by joining us “Beyond the Polls” on Thursday, July 21, at the Suwannee County Coliseum, located at 1302 11th St. SW, in Live Oak. We look forward to seeing you there!
