Robert R. “Bob” DeMoss, Jr., 77, of Live Oak, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022, at Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center. A native of Shreveport, La., he was the son of the late Robert Randolph and Lena Rummel DeMoss and lived in Live Oak since 1975. A Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Demoss retired from Windstream after 30 years of service and enjoyed golfing, camping, hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his sons, Robbie in 2004 and Keith in 2013.
Demoss is survived by his wife, Christine L. DeMoss, of Live Oak; son, Charles Valentine (Donna), of Live Oak; sister, Marlene Williams, of McAlpin; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Mass for DeMoss will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 29, at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 928 E Howard St., in Live Oak, with Father Mike Pendergraft, Celebrant. The family received friends on Tuesday evening, June 28, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church building fund.
