Carolyn Livingston Lindsey, 80, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, in Gainesville, Fla. Livingston was born on May 19, 1942, in Tifton, Ga., to Carl Patton and Inez Wallis Patton.
Livingston led a quiet life and loved her grand and great-grandchildren. She worked for more than 20 years as the Town Clerk of Mayo.
Livingston was preceded in death by her husbands Jerry Livingston and Fred Lindsey; her parents, Carl and Inez Patton, an infant son and her brother, Buddy Patton.
She is survived by two sons, Newt Livingston and his wife Kim and Jason Livingston and his wife Amanda; five grandchildren, Kolby, Kameron, Taylor, Cassidy and Kailee; two great-grandchildren, Rowyn and River, three sisters Grace Allen, Bonnie Allen and Joyce Abbott, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Friday, June 10, at 9 a.m. at Bethel Cemetery with Pastor Steve Fox officiating. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local hospice or a charity of choice.
