Back in December of 2021, the Lafayette County Courthouse clocktower was removed from the courthouse to receive a much-needed restoration. Now, after months of hard work, the restoration is almost complete. The clocktower is slated, tentatively, to return to Lafayette County on Monday, June 27. Quickly following this, the clocktower will be returned to its rightful place on top of the courthouse. “However, with all the supply issues we are facing, that date is tentative. I feel pretty certain the tower will be back either the last week of June or first of July,” said Steven Land, Clerk of Court.
