C.J. Lewis, founder of Simply Nutrilistic is a devoted wife and mother of two girls. The story of her company, Simply Nutrilistic, begins in November of 2012. Lewis realized her oldest daughter's eczema had peaked and something needed to change. It was then that the Lewis family realized her eczema was aggravated by food and her environment. Over the next several years, Lewis spent countless hours researching everything she could about eczema, allergens and intolerances as well as recipes without certain ingredients. Lewis learned to adapt recipes, make substitutions and create many things from scratch. “I wanted to fix her, to take it all away, but couldn't. We had to rely on God – for healing, guidance and direction” Lewis said. At one point, Lewis’s daughter’s immune system was so overburdened that she reacted to everything on the blood allergy panel. Her ranges were off the charts.
During the summer of 2015, Lewis was led to Dr. Bill Frazier, which she believes was an act of divine intervention. In the years following, Lewis received what she considers the “honor and privilege” to be mentored by Dr. Frazier, as she worked at Frazier Nutrisearch. Seeing Lewis’s passion for knowledge and helping others, Dr. Frazier encouraged her to gain additional training in the natural and alternative health field. She received her Certified Natural Health Professional (CNHP) designation from Trinity School of Natural Heath in January 2017 and graduated from Academy Epic in February 2018 with her Complementary and Alternative Health Practitioner (CAHP) designation. During that time, she also started her own natural health business, Simply Nutrilistic. In January 2018, Dr. Frazier passed away and in April Lewis was able to purchase Frazier Nutrisearch and continue his legacy as she pursues her God-given passion.
Lewis notes that she is not a medical doctor. “I cannot diagnose, treat, cure, or heal, only God can do that,” she said. She is, however, a passionate mom who has been given the opportunity to see firsthand the effect daily choices have on health. Lewis’s passion and her goal for Simply Nutrilistic is to assist the community with improving their health by equipping them with the tools and resources needed to take control of their health. “My prayer is that you will embark on this journey with me and share your stories as you travel the road to better health,” Lewis says.
For those who wish to start a similar business, Lewis’s advice is to “Pray for guidance and direction. Define your goals and seek the right schooling/training to accomplish those goals. Be persistent. Find your niche that sets you apart from other natural health businesses. Having a mentor to help guide you is valuable.”
