On Monday, April 18, the Suwannee High School Bulldogs baseball team played host to the Rickards Raiders from Tallahassee. Prior to the game, the team took a moment to honor its six seniors for all they have given to the Bulldogs’ program over their baseball career. Each senior was escorted by their parents, where they presented flowers to their mothers.
The Bulldogs were riding a five game winning streak while hosting the Raiders. The Bulldogs overall record entering the game was 14-4, while the Raiders’ overall record was 3-11. The Bulldogs were led onto the field by Matthew Jenkins, who went two innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, while striking out four. The Bulldogs feasted at the plate, as multiple hitters had at least two hits on their way to a 15-0 shutout for the Bulldogs.
